Francis smiled, the glass of wine now forgoten. She was beautiful and big and shone on its City of Light with its majestic rays. The Eiffel Tower was illuminated and as wonderful as always, but not even she could compete and the sight was worthy of those romantic novels that Francis fancied so much. Francis smiled a bit and finally sipped his wine.

« ...And now all I need is a lover.” He says as he softly laughs.

The nation sighed and put down his glass down on the table. The night was perfect; why was he feeling like this? So strange…

Francis sighed once more and glanced at the window to look back at the moon. Still beautiful.

Yes, he could easily find someone. After all, wasn’t he the country of love as he declared proudly? Only, Francis didn’t want to have sex. Or to have a fake lover. All this was too easy… He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, though. Wasn’t he proud of his celibacy?

« Why are you so far? » He whined at the moon, leaning back on his chair and then pouting. “Come down here and keep me company! We could talk you and I and go out somewhere; maybe we even going to dance and we could drink something… Do you like dancing? I bet you do. Laughing and sobbing, France took back the bottle and swigged. “I’ll go dancing.”
